Another Great Talent

Photobucket

This woman is one of the
FEW artists . . . who's albums I own every single one of.

Sitting here drinking beer, came across an old favorite. Check it out

I've been following P!nk since the beginning.
Dope is not the word!
Fuckin Girl has talent!

Here's my favorite song off her latest album
Funhouse, "Ave Mary A"
Read the lyrics and if you're a music/word lover you'll really get into it.

Smile

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just. . .

MILLION DOLLAR BILL

Photobucket

I heard this song over a week ago and I really like it.
It's definitely a good look for Miss Houston.
I think it's safe to say, the diva is back.

It has the coolest old school melody. Makes me wanna dance.
Check It Out.

First Off

This is a really dope song by Mario & Sean Garrett.
Mario is cool brother in my opinion, I just think he lacks consistency.
Anyway, I really like this video.

**BUT CAN WE PLEASE PUT AN END TO THESE DUDES THROWING NUVO IN THE AIR?
[[PINK DRINK IN A GIRLY BOTTLE! IT'S NOT EVEN EXPENSIVE!]]

NOW

I never got into the hype about this girl.
Infact, I never knew she had a voice until 20 minutes ago.
To my surprise she has an interesting one.
Still dont have much of an opinion of her but that's fine because who am I??
So By Any Means, get that money honey!

She has nice lips though. Shout out to BobBillz who encouraged me to post this. (BobBillz.blogspot.com)

I DEF have to shout out Ashleyanneb who basically supplied me with these videos. (Section-ate.blogspot.com)

Say Hello To LG

Photobucket

& She isn't just beautiful, She's also brilliant.

Lydia Guevera (Granddaughter of Che --> [and if you don't know who Che Guevara is then you need to go handle that shamefully!]) is the one person this year that has grabbed my attention and held it. I think this fine young vegetarian revolutionary is so hot lol (really though). She's a comedic writer, therefore an amazing blogger.

WHAT'S BETTER THAN BRAINS & BEAUTY??

Check out her blog --> revolutionarygiggles.com

LG has also entered a blog recently for Global Grind.

Not every writer is able to capture and hold the attention of readers for long periods of time. LG however has the wit & intellect that sadly, has me checking for her updates on twitter daily. So, if you'd like someone interesting and educated to follow then @LGRevo3 is the one.

You'll be seeing more of LG very soon if you haven't already. She is the new face of the PETA campaign promoting vegetarianism in South Africa.

Twitter dat!

So yesterday, B.Scott informed us that Janet is now on twitter!
Yay, so follow @JanetJackson

Those who know me, know that I truly love & adore Miss Janet Jackson.
Yeah I love Michael - I grew up on the man he's an undeniable genius
And so I had to show my love & respect.
But Janet has been my boo since 7th grade !

Sidebar: Someone just looked at the skin on my macbook and said
"That's Janet Jackson?" , "You must be a real big fan."
The woman next to her then said
"I think that's an understatement"

Now before some idiot says something stupid like "Well you must not love Janet too much if you have a Michael tattoo.."

To that asshole: Call me crazy but I've actually had the Janet tattoo much longer.

Long Live The King

Photobucket

It took me a rather long time to write this little blog-a-ma-wog as Lydia Guevara would call it. More than a month later this is still and will probably forever be a sensitive subject for me and all the millions of people around the world that truly loved and appreciated Michael Jackson.

I remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news that Michael had suffered from a heart attack. In a matter of minutes the news had changed to: “Michael Jackson went into Cardiac Arrest”. As word spread quickly via text message and the internet I began to worry. Then I thought, “He’ll be fine” “Guys please pray for Michael!”. Moments later the L.A Times confirmed the death of The King Of Pop. I simply refused to believe it. I turned the television to CNN and watched in denial in hopes that I wasn’t true.

Later that night, the news became a sickening reality as I walked the streets of Brooklyn, watching with amazement and a heavy heart as all types of people played Michael’s music from their cars and businesses. I thought , “Damn, look at these guys giving it up for Mike”. I felt proud and sad at the very same time. Sad that he was gone right in the middle of preparing for a 50 show tour. Sad as I thought of all the hurt he’d been through here on earth. But I was also proud that on that very day and many days following, everyone had come together. Which is just what Michael would have wanted us to do.

When I was a child, Moonwalker was my favorite film. Speed Demon?! Come On! He was one of a kind. I’ve honestly always loved Michael. However, as much as I adored him—The werewolf in Thriller scared the crap out of me. In fact, yesterday my grandmother recalled me saying “That is NOT Michael Jackson” running away to the bedroom and returning when I’d hear “Cause this is Thriller!...”

The lyrics just hit me once again “This is Thriller” There will never be another Thriller! 25 + years later it remains untouchable. Michael meant what he said and I think he wanted us to know too. It’s almost like he was saying “This is it” (Which just so happened to be the name of his would have been last tour.)

I must quote Rolling Stone “As a singer, dancer, and songwriter, Jackson's talent is unassailable.”

The world will never know another Michael Jackson. Aside from being the greatest entertainer ever, Michael was a humanitarian. He truly cared about the world (“ . . . There are people dying if you care enough for the living . . .”) He really gave his all and as a result, his work is Timeless.

Now the King has gone away but his music and legacy is here to stay. It gives me peace to know that he will no longer a victim of pain, torture or the scrutiny that he knew oh too well. I hope he’s somewhere near to God smiling.

I’d rather not go on (even though one can go on about a unique talent forever) Instead I’d like to show my little tribute to the man that changed the world.

REST IN PEACE MIKE.
WE LOVE YOU
